Lou-Anne (Luan) Fauteck Makes-Marks, Ph.D. is an independent researcher and activist for Native North American sacred lands and places. She is mixed blood by heritage, including European, California Indian, Creek, Shawnee, Virginia and Maryland Algonquin, and Southeastern Sioux. She holds an MA in Consciousness Studies, an MFA in Fiber and Mixed Media Arts, and a PhD in Philosophy and Religion.
